Accommodation
With a capacity to accommodate up to 40 residents, there’s always space for new friends and cherished connections at Carleen Nursing Home. We offer single or companion bedrooms, allowing you to maintain a level of comfort and privacy while with us. Each room is fully furnished, while majority have en-suite facilities. We encourage residents to personalise their rooms and make them feel like home, whether it’s through cherished decorations or familiar furnishings.
Facilities
Our communal spaces include cosy lounges, quiet spaces and inviting dining areas, all designed for your engagement. Additionally, we have adapted shower rooms to ensure comfort and convenience for our residents. On site we have our dedicated hairdressing suite, where residents feel pampered and cared for.
Activities
At Carleen Nursing Home, we have two dedicated activities coordinators who organise daily activities, entertainers, special events, parties, and outings, ensuring our residents enjoy a vibrant and engaging lifestyle. We welcome families and friends to relax and enjoy time spent with our residents at any time during the day.

Meet the Team
Committed to promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for each resident, the dedicated staff at Carleen Nursing Home, under the leadership of Registered Manager Suman Mathew, provide personalised care and support tailored to meet the unique needs of every person.
We ensure an ongoing programme of training and development to enable our staff to continuously evolve and further their knowledge to provide a high standard of care.
We have a team of kitchen staff who ensure the meals provided are of high quality and nutrition and meet each person’s dietary needs and preferences.
Our housekeeping and maintenance team ensure the home is well presented, safe and comfortable.

My mum was discharged from hospital into a care home which my brother and I deemed unsuitable and therefore we decided to move her. We visited many care homes but were immediately impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff at Carleen. There are care homes with more extensive and modern facilities but with my mum having severe dementia the main priority was to get her into the care of staff who really cared and this is what Carleen delivered.
Being a nursing home it really helped to have medical staff who were fully alert to my mother’s needs, able to liaise effectively with the GP/hospital and accompany her to appointments. Carleen staff were always quick to keep us informed of any issue or potential issue. All staff regardless of role or rank were always very welcoming of visitors.
My brother and I are very grateful that Carleen made my mum’s last 15 months so peaceful and comfortable. The quality of the staff alone gives me no hesitation in recommending Carleen.

My wife moved into the home in March 2021. She is well settled and feels like it’s her home, she is very happy and has built some great friendships within the home with staff and service users. The staff are very attentive and her needs are very well attended to.
As her husband, I’m kept well informed of any changes or needs, the communication from care staff and nurses is outstanding. There are more expensive homes in and around the area but the level of care and attention is not there.
The home holds events where all the families and friends can attend. Carleen’s mission statement is a true reflection of the care my wife receives.
